Tammy Jean Nuzzo-Morgan as 2017 Long Island Poet of the Year
Long Island Poet of the Year is an annual award given by WWBA to honor a notable poet on Long Island who is well known and well respected. Tammy Jean Nuzzo-Morgan was the 2010-2011 Suffolk County Poet Laureate, founder of The North Sea Poetry Scene, Inc., and is the editor of the series, Long Island Sounds. She is the author five poetry collections including, Let Me Tell You SomethingFor Michael, and Life’s a Beach. Her awards include the Mobius’ Editor-in-Chief Choice Award and the LIWG Community Service Award. She champions poetry through her writing, teaching and support of the Long Island community of poets.
