Wednesday, February 22 & Thursday February 23

If you’re looking for winter vacation activities for your kids during President’s Week, consider unplugging and bring them to the Long Island Museum. The LIM’s unique, educational programs inspire creativity and imagination without the use of electronics.
On Wednesday, February 22 from 10 a.m. to noon we’ll host a lively discussion about Mo Willems, author and illustrator of great children’s books like The Thank You Book, Pigeon Needs a Bath, and There’s a Bird on Your Head. The program is designed for children in grades one through three and includes a story and related craft.
Cost for the class is $25 per child and pre-registration/pre-payment are required by calling (631) 751-0066 x212.
On Thursday, February 23, we’ll host Family Drop-In Day with family-fun activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Carriage Museum. Learn about the history of transportation and enjoy horse and carriage-related activities. It’s fun for all ages and admission is free.
