ART EDUCATOR OPPORTUNITIES

Arts Education Coordinator

Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post is seeking an Education Programs Coordinator. The program coordinator will be responsible for administering on and off-site education programs, ranging from K-12 partnerships to community outreach to university activities. This position is part-time, hours to be determined. Summer and school vacation hours will be minimal with peak periods throughout the school year. OPPORTUNITY FOR TEACHING ARTISTS (PART-TIME)

Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post is seeking teaching artists to work in our School Partnership program, an outreach program modeled on the philosophy and practices of aesthetic education.

They are seeking music, dance and theater practicing artists who possess a strong commitment to working with educators and young people to facilitate workshops with students (grades Pre K – 12) in Long Island, New York schools.  Work is intermittent, part-time, primarily during school hours, some late afternoons.  Teaching includes planning with educators and direct instruction with students in pre-K through grade 12. Additional responsibilities include attending professional development sessions and administrative responsibilities (i.e., submission of written lesson plans, assessments, teaching schedules). CLICK HERE for detailed job description.
