If you’re a high school student interested in a career in the arts, It’s almost time to AUDITION!
The offers you the chance — as part of your public high school education — to train with professionals for a career in Dance, Film, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts.
Applications are now being accepted for the academic year beginning in September 2016, with auditions and portfolio reviews scheduled to commence in March.
Over the past four decades, LIHSA has been a home and training ground for talented young artists from Nassau and Suffolk counties who are actively and passionately exploring and pursuing careers in the visual and performing arts. Acceptance is based on talent, enthusiasm, motivation and potential.
HOW TO ENROLL
Speak with your guidance counselor, who will handle the application process. He or she will provide you with the audition requirements for your area of interest. ***NEW PROGRAM – DOSHI STEM INSTITUTE
If you’re entering 9th grade and interested in a career in the sciences and engineering, it’s time to APPLY NOW!
The Doshi STEM Institute offers you the chance — as part of your public high school education — to train for a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Applications are now being accepted for the academic year beginning in September 2016.
In this half-day program, students are immersed in science, engineering and math. Honors Regents and AP courses form the core of the program. Students choose between two strands – research or engineering. In both strands, students work with industry experts from organizations such as Brookhaven National and Cold Spring Harbor laboratories.
