Hofstra University Shaeffer Black Box Theater
Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them
Presented by Hofstra University’s Department of Drama and Dance
by Christopher Durang
Directed by Ilona Pierce
Christopher Durang turns political humor upside down with this raucous and provocative satire about America’s growing homeland “insecurity.” A young woman wakes up in a strange room with a strange man who introduces himself as her husband. Durang oddly relieves our fears in this black comedy for an era of yellow, orange and red alerts.
