Arts Alive LI, a program of the Long Island Arts Alliance, wants YOU!

Get inspired and create a poster for 2016 ARTS MONTH:

Use “THE ARTS” as the inspiration for your winning poster design

The Arts Alive LI 2016 Arts Month Poster Contest represents a unique opportunity for students to become involved with the premier regional celebration of the arts on Long Island, win prizes and see their winning entries on art exhibit at Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City, NY during the month of October.  is supporting the contest by professionally framing all winning posters.

2015 Grand Prize Winner

(3) Categories of eligibility

  • Pre-K- Grade 5
  • Grades 6-8
  • Grades 9-12

Prizes:

  • The Grand Prize will be a $300 Gift Certificate.
  • A $50 Gift Certificates be awarded to First Prize winners in each of three (3) categories including: Pre-K – Grade 5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12.
  • Second and Third place winners in each category will be selected and awarded with a Certificate of Participation.

ALL Winning posters  will become part of the 2016 Arts Alive LI Commemorative Poster Series and will be on exhibit at the Long Island Children’s Museum in October and featured on the ArtsAliveLI website.

 Guidelines:

  • Submission are preferred online –   to enter!
  • Submissions must be original. (no use of copyrighted material)
  • Suggested mediums: two dimensional drawing, painting, photography, digital or collage
  • web-imgOriginal artwork must fit within a vertical frame.
  •  Artwork must be no smaller than 13 inches by 20 inches (33 centimeters by 50 centimeters) and no larger than 20 inches by 24 inches (50 centimeters by 60 centimeters).
  • Digital guidelines: Hi-res jpegs only (minimum 300 dpi)
  • 5 MB Max (A larger size may be requested of winning entries.)
  • There is no fee to participate but there is a maximum of one submission per person.
  • All Students must submit a signed parent/guardian release along with their entry form.

Winners will be announced mid-June 2016.

A completed online entry form must accompany artwork.
